Hi there,

I'm Rob McNicoll.

I'm not a huge fan of writing stuff about me, as I figure this website should be all about you... but here's the lowdown on me (before we move onto you a bit later on the page!)

I'm 44 years old and I live in Bournemouth (south coast of the UK) with my wife Joyce.

We've got 1 daughter and 2 (slightly overweight) cats. I'm working on that at the moment (the cats, not my daughter) which is really quite difficult... have you ever tried to get a cat to follow a diet?!?

Qualifications wise I've got the usual array of things you'd expect from a consultant. Graduated from my MBA in 2007, been running a successful Marketing consultancy for 10 years and have been awarded a Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Marketers (FCIM).

But actually those qualifications don't really matter to me. It's the results my clients get that mean everything.

And talking about results, you're probably wondering:

"Is this guy worth me spending any more time and attention on?"

And the answer for a lot of people is a resounding NO!

Here's why...

  • I can't help you if you don't have a Business.

I appreciate that many people reading this will be thinking about starting a company, or it might be a distant dream.

But you're not going to get the most from working with me if you aren't already in business.

The reason for this is that the no.1 key to getting results is taking immediate action, and if you don't have a business that you can apply my systems and strategies to, you're not going to get the results you want.

There is value to reading the articles and watching the videos on this site for everyone, but to get the most out of this you need to have a business.

  • If you don't think you need to advertise, you're not in the right place.

My favourite quote of all time (at the moment, anyway!) is:

"Doing business without advertising is like winking at a girl you like in the dark. You know what you are doing, but nobody else does."

I don't care who you are or what industry you are in. You need to be advertising and marketing your business or there is no way you're going to be able to achieve sustainable long term growth.

It's as simple as that.

Now I'm not going to spend any time trying to convince you of this. If I have to, then this is definitely not the website for you, and I'm not the guy you should be listening to.


  • If you're not prepared to put in the work, I don't want to help you.


Here's what I mean.

We live in a time where more and more people expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter... they feel entitled to get results without any effort on their part.

Well that just doesn't wash with me.

Yes - if you apply the systems and strategies I will show you then you can cut out 99% of the effort you might otherwise have to make, but you still have to work damn hard.

And not expect everything to be done for you with no effort on you part.

It's just not realistic and not good for you.

You might be a bit surprised that I just came out and told you I'd be making some shameless and obvious offers to work together.

But why wouldn't I tell you?

After all I'm a marketing and business growth consultant, so I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't practice what I preach.

I will invite you to become a client, and I'm not going to be subtle or clandestine about it.

However - it will always be preceded with some actionable and really valuable strategies, systems and tactics that you can use immediately.

That's free.

And if you like it then you might think "This free stuff is great, so I might give working with Rob a shot".

That's the general idea.

Pretty simple, really!

One of my mentors calls is "Demonstrating you can help by actually helping".

I love that... and it works.

But you still might be wondering...

How do I know if your stuff is any good?

Well the easiest way is for you to have a look through all the free stuff I have on this site.

If you like it, then you'll probably my other training.

If you don't, then you probably won't.

At this point you're probably expecting the whole "check out how great I am" biography. As I mentioned earlier I'm about the results, but to keep everyone happy, here goes:

I started my marketing career back in 2007. I'd just graduated with an MBA, started a new job and the world was looking rosy.

However 6 months into this new position I realised I wanted to work for myself, so I handed my notice in and started planning my next steps. After all the economy was doing great, I had a sought after qualification and a string of consultancy offers.

Then the crash came.

And overnight every single offer disappeared.

Then Joyce told me she was pregnant...

I remember sitting there that night, only a couple of thousand pounds in the bank, wondering what on earth I was going to do next.

I think that was my lowest point... possibly ever.

Then I did the unthinkable... I went online and typed "How to make money online" and was hit by a series of adverts.

I clicked on the first one, read what they had to say, and then invested 1/4 of my life savings (£499) to get on board.

This decision changed my life.

Now I'm not going to tell you that everything was rosy, but with a lot of hard work and application I started to make money.

Things were definitely on the up.

And then I had my "light bulb" moment.

"If I can do this myself," I thought  "maybe I can charge other people to do this for their business."

And that's where my consultancy began.

The course I had bought earlier that year only taught me one aspect of marketing (it was all about PPC on Google) and I realised that if I was to succeed as a consultant I needed more than just one thing to offer my clients.

And so began a journey of constant learning and discovery.

Picking the most sought after mentors, purchasing the best courses, I spent the next 4 years working with some of the finest minds in business growth and marketing strategy.

At the same time I began working with clients providing them proven models to help grow their business. They were a diverse range of companies and niches. Everything from footwear to telecoms to charity to adult entertainment.

I was happy to work with anyone as long as I was able to add massive value and prove that these systems and strategies worked no matter what the business type or model I was presented.

And these systems worked.

Fast forward to the present day and the systems as still as effective as ever. Sure, some have evolved and new tactics have emerged in line with emerging technologies, but fundamentally the "secrets" of business growth are unchanged.

Also I don't work with "just anyone" these days. They have to be the right kind of client to for me to work with them on a one to one basis.

However it has become far easier to help more people by me not needing to be there "in person".

I can shoot a video, jump on a webinar or even just pick up the phone.

All these provide a great opportunity for me to share these systems and strategies with businesses all over the world.
